Hello community and business members,

For some time we have had concerns with our zip codes in Niwot. I am attaching a letter directed to the postal District Manager, asking for
a review of our zip code issues in Niwot and some suggestions for
resolution and remedy. This letter is attached below for you to read and if
you would like to sign a copy of it before it is mailed please do so
with in 1 week (before Mar. 19, 2010).


The letters are posted at 3 locations in town, The Winot and Eye Opener coffee shops, and the Niwot Grocery store bulletin boards. Please only sign one letter
with your name, address or business name and address and phone number.
You are welcome to email this letter to your neighbors if you think it
concerns them as well.

Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey posted by the NBA: http://www.niwot.com/survey - if you have not yet filled this out, we'd love your help. Nora McCray is sending off a letter and petition this week.

There is some controversy about using Niwot, CO 80503. Apparently, this causes mail to be send to the Niwot Post Office, which is not a sorting/delivery center. Your mail may be delayed if you use Niwot, CO 80503. Please check with the USPS for further information.

Anyone out there working for the USPS, could you please confirm this? Thanks!

Maybe it would faster to change the name of Second St. to something like "Niwot Center Rd" to avoid confusion with Longmont zip code/GPS problems.
