Consider incorporating the town of Niwot

The time may have come to consider incorporating the town of Niwot. We continure to suffer with taxation and regulation without representation. Since, the Boulder County Commissioners are elected at large, the shear numbers in the City of Boulder render our voices silent. The Commissoners can afford to ignore our concerns, redirect our tax dollars, and yawn at our property right issues. We need our own accountable representatives.

Relocation of Niwot Sheriff's Substation

Dear Niwot Residents:

I have news that may be viewed favorably by "Niwotians". We have a verbal agreement to relocate our Niwot

substation to the Mtn. View Fire Department on Niwot Road in January,

when our current lease has expired and we relocate most of our vehicles

and equipment to the new headquarters building. The new sub-station

Community Park

Much discussion has been taking place about the proposed park across from Whistle Stop Park. Residents in the area are mainly in support of the park and have complimented the landscape plans, but concern has been stated about the location of the restrooms. One resident stated

Residential Road Paving

As some of you are aware, Boulder County does not believe that they have

the responsibility or the money to resurface your residential streets.

The County states that they "maintain" the residential streets such as

School Budget Open Forum & Online Survey

Starting this month, the St Vrain Valley Board of Education is conducting a series of forums to provide information regarding how the State of Colorado’s expected budget deficit of $1.5 billion will impact education in our state and ultimately in our school district.

Garage Break-Ins and Thefts in Niwot

There have been three known garage break-ins in the Waterford and Waterford Park area. One of the break-ins occurred through the dog door of the garage. Please be sure to close your garage door(s) and secure any entry into the garage.
