Creating a Group

Members of this site can create groups for their organizations or special interest group in two easy steps.

Step 1: Create the Group
Click on the Groups tab at the top of the site
Click on Add a Group link and the add a group page appears
- Enter your group name
- Add a photo to represent your group
- Add a description of your group
- Enter your groups website if you have one
- Enter the town and state where your group exists
- Select the features you want on your group page: comments, forums, text box for sure.
- Set the Privacy setting for your group. If you want anyone to join, select Anyone. Otherwise select Moderated Membership and the group creator/administrator will approve group members.
- Lastly, check allow members to send messages to the entire group if you want this feature turned on.

Step 2: Invite Members to join
Now you are ready to invite your group members to join. Type in the email addresses for your group and send them an invitation to join.

If you have selected moderated group membership, after you send invitations to your group, the group creator will receive an email whenver a group member accepts the invitation. You will then login and approve the group member.
